Hello, My name is Mireille Juliana Harvey, Fashion Design Graduate from Cardiff Metropolitan University, and I am honoured to welcome you to my Portfolio.
Strong historical references, intricate detailing and hourglass silhouettes define my brand, whilst conveying key messages through their context.
Having written my Dissertation on the complex relationship between Fashion and Society I have found there to be deep meanings behind fashion throughout the ages.
Thus I strive to weave a narrative through every collection in order to portray important messages discussing issues such as the problem of evil and femininity.
I have long focussed my passion for historical dress and culture within the 19th and 20th Centuries. This enables me to develop a rich context for my collections which are relevant yet rooted in a thick historical tapestry.
